MU OMEGA OMEGA CHAPTER HISTORY

Mu Omega Omega Chapter located in Aurora, Colorado, is the third graduate Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated chapter in Colorado.  Mu Omega Omega was chartered on Saturday, December 15, 1979, by the 19th Mid-Western Regional Director Delorise Gines. Prior to the chartering, Mid-Western Regional Director Gines conducted a workshop to review chapter operations and procedures. She was assisted by Patricia W. Caruthers, from Mu Omega Chapter in Kansas City, Kansas. Immediately following the chartering, a reception was held in the main ballroom of Fitzsimons Army Officers Club. The guests included Mid-Western Regional Director Delorise Gines, Patricia W. Caruthers, members from Epsilon Nu Omega Chapter located in Denver, Colorado, and other members, friends and relatives. Mu Omega Omega’s undergraduate chapter, Xi Eta, was chartered by the 18th Midwestern Region Director Dorothy Parker, in May 1982, at Colorado State University, Fort Collins, Colorado.
